[…] The most important part of a newborn session is the family portion.  I always set aside time, usually at the beginning for family pictures.  I do my best to make this portion quick and easy.  We get pictures with mom and the baby.  Moms often protest to this which is understandable considering they just had a baby, they are sleep deprived, emotional and so much more.  Despite these protests I always encourage mom and the end result is a portrait that will be cherished forever.  We also get dad and baby, siblings and baby and a family picture.  This usually takes less than 30 minutes.  For more info on my process check out this link.
